President of the Senate visits the Center for Mathematical Modeling

As part of its commitment to bring closer the academic and scientific world with the parliament work, Senator Guido Girardi agreed to an invitation to meet the Center for Mathematical Modeling of FCFM.

On the morning of Thursday 14 April, the legislature could know thoroughly the task of the Centre and its laboratories, and may also talk with researchers and engineers working in each of them.

While acknowledging the invitation, Girardi explained why the politics should again approach the world of thought. “I feel now the divorce between politics and science and technology is great, I have the feeling that the world is going to be more marked by the technology and knowledge. If politics waiver to participate in that world, it will be renouncing to represent citizens in future issues, “he explained.

“As the President of the Senate is important for me to re-engage the academia, science, academia with politics and that's why being here is to connect with the issues that come, ” he said. In addition, Girardi invited CMM researchers think about how to create a permanent link and dialogue between the scientific and parliamentary work.
