With the purpose of knowing the work of the Center and its researchers, on Tuesday12th arrived to the CMM the president of the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, Albert Marouani. During the visit, possible activities of collaboration as well as the areas to carry them out were discussed.
To officialize the mutual intention of cooperation in the fields of science and applied sciences, Prof. Moruani and Jaime San Martin, Director of the Center for Mathematical Modelling, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
This agreement, which lasts five years, pursues to promote, as far as possible, the exchange of students and researchers as well as the production and exchange of scientific work.
The University of Nice was officially founded in 1965, but was not until 1989 when it was added to its original name “Sophia Antipolis” as a form to show its relation with the Technological Institute of the same name. At present this University has more than 1.400 faculties and close to 26.000 students, who are distributed in eleven campus, three of them considered historic campus.
