The Centre for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) along with IBM de Chile SAC,conducted the workshop “High Performance Computing (HPC), from science tobusiness”, focussed on building links of collaboration between academiaand the productive sector, to develop the advantages that confers a good use ofHPC.
The speakers were two experts from IBM's Deep Computing, USA: Earl Dodd and Jim Padi, whoaddressed the topic of the evolution of HPC and showed some real examples whereit has delivered value to science and the business.
The workshop, held at the Centre for Mathematical Modeling at the University of, was conducted on September 27 – 28. The activity consisted on presentations as well as meetings where the participants had the opportunity to interact with thespeakers on topics related to High Performance Computing.
