“I'm really impressed with this tribute, but also happy to berecognized by my friends of CMM, with whom I have worked foryears,” said Pierre Collet knowing that celebrate his 60th birthday with the event to be held on August 27 to 29.
Theorganizers of the Workshop on Probability and Dynamics are the Centrefor Mathematical Modeling (CMM), the Department of MathematicalEngineering (SIDs) and the Millennium Nucleus on Information Theory and Randomness,University of Chile.
The activity will take place in theseminar room of the seventh floor of the CMM. The workshop is seeking the mostrelevant in the area of dynamical systems and ergodic theory, as wellas the probability theory and mathematical physics.
Thoseresponsible for addressing these issues are researchers fromprestigious educational and research centres such as Jean-ReneChazottes (CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique), Pablo Ferrari (EMI, Universidadede Sao Paulo), Antonio Galvan (EMI, Universidade de Sao Paulo), JeanMarc-Gambaudo (CNRS, Université de Nice), Marcelo Viana (IMPA), FloraKoukiou (University of Cergy), Véronique Maume-Deschamps (Université deLyon 1), Sylvie Méléard (WCPA, Ecole Polytechnique), Bernard Schmitt(University of Burgundy). Also participating scholars of FCFM at theUniversity of Chile, particularly researchers at the CMM-DIM and theDepartment of Physics.
