Since its beginning, the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) has been an International Joint Unit of CNRS, the most important research institution in France and the largest in Europe.
Upon their arrival at the CMM, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Jaime San Martín, center's Director, who gave them an overview of the activities and research that have been carried out. At the end of the presentation, the group toured the center and met some researchers to know more specific details about some projects.
The delegation, headed by the president of the CNRS, Catherine Bréchignac, also included: Francois Guinot, president of the Academy of Technology; Maurice Gross, director of the Directorate of CNRS Partners; Jean Gagnepain, President of the Council of European Policy and International CNRS; Dominique Le Queau, director of INSU-Instituto National Sciences of the Universe; Bernard Kloareg, director of the Center for Marine Biology of Roscoff; Monique Royer, director of the cabinet of the president, Frédéric Benoliel, director of International Relations CNRS; Claire Giraud, DRI, Americas and Christophe Beauvais, director Latin America.
