National Exact Sciences Prize laureate are honored at Museo Interactivo Mirador

Museo Interactivo Mirador (MIM) inaugurated a new boardwalk named Paseo de la Ciencia (Walk of Science) that honors National Exact Sciences Prize laureate, such as Center For Mathematical Modeling (CMM) researchers Servet Martínez, Carlos Conca, Patricio Felmer, and Manuel del Pino.

Paseo de la Ciencia includes a commemorative sculpture containing plaques with the name of the winners, what category and the year they got their recognition. It also incorporates space for future national prize awarded, who will be added every two years.

Also, MIM published on its website (Paseo de la Ciencia) the biographies of the 50 national award winners, between 1969 and 2015.

With this action, the museum wanted to acknowledge the contributions of these outstanding researchers and their work, reafirming their commitment to bring science to the public and to awake scientific vocations in children and youth.

“It’s a place where national award winners will inspire future”, said Paula Forrtes, Sociocultural Area Director of the Presidency.
