A New IMI will be opened in April

The Institut of Mathematics for Industry of Kyushu University in Japan (IMI) will integrate a network of Math for Industry Centers of Excellence in which The Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) also is part. CMM is part of the network integrated by Matheon-Germany, PIMS and MITACS-Canada and MASCOS-Australia.

Despite the serious problems in the north-eastern part of Japan after the earthquake and tsunami, both the strong damages in Tohoku area and the radiation problem at the atomic plant in Fukushima are still quite heavy, however, in the coming April, will be established a new institute IMI. IMI will be opened on coming 1 April 2011.
