CMM provided training to use the most powerful Computer of the country

With a crowded audience for all over the place, on Tuesday 03 August, between 15:00 hrs. and 19:00 hrs., the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM), Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (FCFM) at the Universidad de Chile, offered a training in the Room B204 of the same building, Avenida Blanco Encalada 2120, to all engineers and researchers interested in the functioning of the “Super Computer” that is already open to the entire national scientific community.

The trainers were Claudio Baeza and Gonzalo Hernández, experts Engineers experts from the Laboratory of High Performance Computing (HPC) of the CMM and Oscar Peredo, Master in Information Technology with specialization in Supercomputing at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain.

The training was on:

– Levque Cluster Architecture
– Parallel Programming Models
– MPI Library
– ScaLAPACK Library

Attended both engineers and researchers from the laboratories of the CMM and the Faculty, as well as other external research groups, from the PUC, UTFSM, USACH, UTalca, UFRO, UBIOBIO, UCN and Dir Meteorological Chile (DMC) NLHPC project partners.
