For the tenth consecutive year, both the Department of Engineering Mathematics (DIM) and the Centre for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Universidad de Chile, organized its Spring School, to advice American undergraduate and graduate students.
This activity is sponsored by the project Mecesup UCH0607, DIM, CMM and CONICYT.
This school is aimed at students in their final undergraduate and master's degree in Latin American universities. Its aim is to create a space for discussion and learning of mathematics disciplines related to our task. Simultaneously, the School wants to show the Ph.D. program in Mathematical Modeling gives in our department.
On this occasion, the School will consist of five courses:
1. Applied Optimization to the Settlement of Industrial Problems by Jorge Amaya
2. Geometrical Inverse Problems by Carlos Conca
3. The reduction Method of Lyapunov-Schmidt Reduction and Applications, Michal Kowalczyk
4. Matches in Graphs, Martín Matamala
5. Symbolical Dynamics, Michael Schraudner
