“Existen muchos factores que influyen en el desempeño posterior de los profesores y uno de ellos son los aspectos socio-afectivos. La investigación inicialmente se planteó ver cómo la ansiedad puede afectar las expectativas de los futuros profesores con el rendimiento de sus estudiantes. También nos dio la oportunidad de estudiar cómo el género del estudiante influye en estas expectativas”, highlighted Salomé Martínez.
Salomé Martínez, Director of the Center for Mathematical Modeling Education Laboratory (E-CMM), talks about her research project studying the socio-emotional aspects that impact on how mathematics pedagogy students will teach. She points out that anxiety and gender prejudices are important factors.
